Sound Design
PEGGY MCAFFEE ROUTLEDGE started studying classical music and then majored in music education at Cal State Long Beach. But, she quickly moved on after graduation to music recording and mixing of such artists as: Jimmy buffett, Rickie Lee Jones, Randy Newman, David Lee Roth, Brian Wilson, Chicago, and Ringo Starr.
This eventually led to sound work in all areas of film and television: foley, sound and dialogue editing, mixing, supervising editor, and sound design. In Television she has worked on: Walker Texas Ranger (four seasons), Ally McBeal, the Practice, X Files, Party of Five, Family Law, Baywatch, and Disney Animation where she won a Golden Reel Award.
Her work in film has included: "Smoke Signals", "Hellriaiser VI", "The Hitcher", and films with Universal, Columbia/TriStar, Hallmark, Miramax, Dimension, and Lionsgate. She has over fifty independent films to her credit, of which "The Fall of Night" is now one.
Peggy says of independent films, "My favorite moments come from seeing the look on the directors' faces when they hear the sound fro their picture for the first time, and this is the food that keeps me hungry for more."
