First Assistant Director
Can anything good come out of Beantown??? TOM NICHOLSON sure did. The Assistant Director's job is to shift the crew into high gear and get an impossible shot list all done in one day. And with only fifteen days to shoot all of "The Fall of Night", Tom was the hard driving A.D. that made all happen.
The A.D. is the first to arrive and the last to leave the set. Tom only made one exception - March 17 - where any good man from Boston finds his way to his favorite pub to lift up a few toasts to good old St. Paddy.
"The Fall of Night" is Tom's fourth feature as 1st Assistant Director. Others include: Soldier of God, CamJackers, and Little Athens. Tom has also been a 1st on numerous shorts. Tom is a Mass Communications graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Oh, and did we mention... Tom's from Boston.
Tom says: "To be a good filmmaker you must always be challenging yourself. "Fall of Night" presented many challenges for the crew, our biggest was the locations. Whether it was a scorching dry lake bed, a cramped RV, freezing nights in a state park, or a sun beaten road in the middle of the desert, we had it all. Our cast & crew not only survived these harsh elements, but did a fantastic job making this film."
