Line Producer/PM
AMANDA NUGENT began her career in "The Biz" as an actress (she still has her SAG card), but quickly moved into producing some of her own projects like "Bayou Shower", and then moved on to producing a feature for filmmaker Robert Townsend in "Calling Up Papi". Her films have screened at Telluride and other venues. She's also created and optioned a sitcom pilot and is in development on her own feature based on a true life story of an Arizona police officer. More recently she has directed two short films that have played at numerous film festivals: "I Believe" and "Mirage"; and is also developing a feature to shoot in Canada.
The Line Producer/Production Manager is the one person who keeps the train from falling off the tracks during production as well as playing the role of part time psychiatrist to the cast and crew. Amanda played all these roles to the nth degree. She's someone with a inexhaustible source of energy that not even coffee can give you. She was inseparable from her cell phone, and was one of the few reasons why The Fall of Night got as much production value as it did for it's modest budget.
Keep your eye out for Amanda's future credits on the big screen. This is one producer who is definitely on the fast track to major projects.
"Disraeli said that the secret of success is constancy to purpose. The Fall of Night cast and crew were faithful in their "constancy to purpose", and this served us well as every road block we encountered had a detour that led us to a better place. I will be forever grateful for my experiences working with this production. The writer/director Derrick Warfel is truly one of the best people I have found working in this industry today."
